The album, co-produced by Charles and featuring such heavy players as Herman Riley, Calvin Keys and Larry Gales, includes one of the most famous samples in hip hop history in the form of 'Fourty Days' which forms the backbone of A Tribe Called Quest's 1990 anthemic 'Luck of Lucien.' Newly remastered, the reissue comes with original artwork.
About the artist
Billy Lewis Brooks was an American jazz percussion player. Brooks moved to Europe in 1964. At the beginning of 1970's, he founded the group El Babaku with the bass player Bert Thompson in Berlin, recording one album, Live At The Jazz Galerie, in 1971 for the MPS label.
