These are the titles that we have decided to take pre orders on. To the uninitiated, this means you can 'buy' the title before it has actually been released. Essentially you are reserving a copy before it hits the shelves and then, once we actually take delivery, we will contact you to let you know it's here.
Many stores do this with all new releases but we don't. Why? Because the nature of the supply chain means release dates are unreliable, order volumes aren't guaranteed and the opportunity to provide a poor customer experience is unsatisfactorily high!
But, on 'big' or 'event' titles, we want you to be able to buy them from us, and if we are selective about the titles then we can be confident we can manage any challenges! And it will also help us gauge demand.
