First released on the West London based Burning Sounds imprint in 1978 'Guerilla Dub' is credited to The Aggravators and The Revolutionaries. Mixed by one of regga's great unsung heroes Oswald 'Ossi' Hibbert the selection of rhythms on the album were titled in tribute to the radical mood of the era. 'Guerilla Dub' is regarded as a long lost dub classic!
The Aggravators and The Revolutionaries featured musicians such as Robert 'Robbi' Shakespeare, Lloyd 'Sparks' Parks, Cornell Campbell, Sly' Dunbar, Tony' Chin, Oswald 'Ossi'/No Go' Hibbert, Jackie Mittoo, Lloyd 'Charmers' Tyrell, Roland Alphonso, Val Bennett, Tommy McCook Carlton 'Santa' Davis & Lester Sterling to name but a few.
About the artist
The Aggrovators were a dub/reggae backing band in the 1970s and 1980s, and one of the main session bands of producer Bunny Lee. The line-up varied, with Lee using the name for whichever set of musicians he was using at any time.
