Find The Love
Dutch jazz funkers The Jazz Invaders have always been known for their rock solid albums and three years after they teamed up with Dr Lonnie Smith for their last set they are back with a simply stunning new full length.
Artist: The Jazz Invaders
Genre: Contemporary Jazz
Label: Social Beats
Release date:
‘Find The Love’ is an infectious collection of jazz inflected nu-boogie, fusion laced boogie and funky soul. The title track sounds like a long lost late 70s fusion cut – keys, horns and deep combining to transport us way back, ‘Get Away’ has a sun drenched Incognito feel, ‘Disco Fever’ is less disco than a sassy mid tempo boogie cut, ‘Do It’ has traces of Roy Ayers at his funkiest, ‘Phil’s Crossroads’ is a soaring dancefloor smash with some lovely keyboards while ‘Higher On Fire’ is an urgent, nu-disco fuelled anthem in the making. Rock solid from start to finish.
