Disco Club
Disco Club is a groundbreaking work of experimental disco created by Fevre and producer Jacky Giordano on the outskirts of Paris in 1978.
Artist: Black Devil Disco Club
Genre: Disco
Label: Lo Recordings
Release date:
Armed with fictional personae 'Junior Claristidge' and 'Joachim Sherylee' respectively, their collaboration as Black Devil expressed a brazen contempt for the 'big shot American studio heads' who represented the myth that 'good music could only be made by Anglo-Saxons.' As such the EP and its appellation have been shrouded in mystery and the spirit of disobedience for decades. The Aphex Twin-backed Rephlex label notably revamped a handful of Disco Club tracks in 2004, however this is the first reappearance of the full, six track sequence.
About the artist
Black Devil, or Black Devil Disco Club, is an electronic disco music project by Bernard Fevre, a French musician who also released synthesizer compositions on library music albums under his own name and under the alias Milpatte.
