Bailazo
Originally released on Voodoo Rhythm in 2015, Rolando Bruno's Bailazo is full-blast psychedelic Latino cumbia garage.
Artist: Rolando Bruno
Genre: South American Jazz/Funk
Label: Hey Suburbia
Release date:
Fuzzed-out guitars, vintage rhythms, and the cheesy charm of a 70's supermarket soundtrack collide in pure DIY madness. Cumbia warped through psych, exotica, and garage rock chaos. From the Asian-flavored freakout of "Thai Cumbia" to the Turkish-twisted groove of "Falafel King" everything gets thrown into the Rolando Bruno shredder. Dusty. Psychedelic. Unhinged. Cumbia like it could've been recorded in 1967.
About the artist
The Rolando Bruno Cumbia project, was born in 2005, alongside his former group Los Peyotes (Garage Punk from Buenos Aires) in the solitude of his room and with his best friend, his computer, which he uses to create his cumbia backing tracks.
