Atom Flower's

Atom Flower's

A rare Italian jazz album originally recorded in 1972. It blends sophisticated jazz arrangements with atmospheric, cinematic sounds and a light funk groove.

Artist: Gino Marinacci

Genre: Jazz

Label: Mono Jazz

Release date:

Atom Flower’s belongs to the fascinating world of Italian library music: recordings created with the kind of cinematic atmosphere that could accompany films, television, documentaries or experimental visual media.
Its sound sits somewhere between jazz, easy listening, modal jazz and jazz-funk. Think of warm electric piano, layered flutes, expressive horns, understated percussion and elegant, slightly psychedelic arrangements.
The overall feeling is sophisticated and dreamy rather than aggressive. There is a gentle rhythmic pulse beneath the music, but the arrangements leave plenty of room for melody, texture and atmosphere. The result has that distinctly early-1970s quality that modern DJs and crate-diggers often seek out.
