About Fred Lopez:
I’m a Brighton-based DJ originally from France, where growing up around people from all over the world sparked a lifelong love of music from many horizons. I’ve been collecting vinyl for 40 years. Following my fascination with jazz as a bass and guitar player, I stepped into DJing and music promotion after moving to the UK. Trax Magazine’s DJ Mix of the Month back in the 90s opened the door to gigs across the UK, France, Barcelona, and San Francisco, enjoying both intimate venues and larger audiences. I’ve been part of Brighton’s music scene since 2015 thanks to 1BTN radio and its unique community. I love discovering inspiring music and creating a special appreciation of every moment with people whenever I DJ.
