The album shares a story of love, life and social commentary.  It provides a sonic landscape that journeys the listener from a sumptuous full studio production to a raw stripped down acoustic vocal and piano. It is the Evolution of an artist revealing creative depth and honesty.

This album is not only a personal journey it reflects a musical mapping of many years of writing and making music, of life, of living, with its ups and downs. Co produced with multi –Instrumentalist Eric Appapoulay (Sona Jobarteh, Nittin Sawnhey, Yusef Islam, Plan B) Appapoulay is featured all over the album. The album features a phenomenal line up of musicians, including UK stars Byron Wallen Trumpet, Mussinghi B Edwards & Jason Yarde Saxaphones, Trombonist Trevor Mires, Nick Ramm Keys / Synths, Tom Skinner Drums, Flute Rowland Sutherland, Percussion Scott Arnold and a guest appearance by South African Poet, Activist & Percussionist Eugene Skeef 

About the artist

Marcina Arnold is blessed with a powerful voice - a warm rich tone and delivery that is sensual and mesmerising. A visionary composer and lyricist Marcina is fiercely independent and respected for her work as a musician and songwriter. Refreshingly honest & dedicated to integrity, not afraid to show vulnerability in her work. Marcina’s sound reflects the rich heritage of her multi-ethnic roots to inform her eclectic musical style. Arnold has inspired many of the next generation of talent in Londons vibrant scene. A former lead vocalist and percussionist in the highly acclaimed groundbreaking Jazz Hip Hop band Quite Sane. Marcina has worked alongside Steve Williamson, Byron Wallen, The South African Gospel Singers, and significantly her formative years working with South African Jazz pioneer the late great Bheki Mseleku. Strongly linked with her folk roots Marcina is not afraid to cross genres with ease. You can hear this in her groundbreaking debut EP Twisted Blue Folk 2006 which was was followed by her 2nd EP Introducing Marcina Arnold on Counterpoint Records 2006 then her critically acclaimed album About Time -on P-Vine Records Japan 2008.
