About The Melting Pot:
My passion for collecting music stemmed over 25 years ago in my hometown of Medellin. London was my first home in the UK more than 15 years ago, where I fell in love with the independent music scene and got exposed to many rhythms from around the globe. I am now based in Brighton and have been spinning records from my extensive vinyl collection at different venues across the city (from The Windmill to the Fortune of War) and run a bimonthly session called The Melting Pot at The Great Eastern. I am obsessed with music and love sharing it with people, while celebrating and elevating the enduring spirit of latin music.

I curate vibrant musical journeys that seamlessly blend the soulful traditions of latin music with contemporary influences from all around the world. Expect cumbia, salsa, afrosounds, jazz, jazz funk, brazilian, habibi funk, afrobeat, reggae, hip hop, afrofunk, rare grooves and everything in between, a Melting Pot of sounds.
